Looking around our apartment last night I had nostalgic moment. The apartment was physically empty, but full of great memories as a family and with friends. It’s still slightly surreal that Sammi and I have had the opportunity to call Rocklin, California our home. We have loved the experiences this season of life and all the fabulous mini-vacations throughout the state. Although we were technically here for 23 months, the natural friendships made it seem like we have been here for 5+ years. You would think moving back to our hometown would bring nothing but excitement; and don’t get me wrong, we are stoked! But that feeling you have in the pit of your stomach when you are leaving home for the first time has certainly been felt. We know we will be back to visit California to reconnect with our friends and share our new family member too! Now its time to get some rest for the 33 hour drive ahead!
